Safari Paragliding Road Trip #1
Do you want to get away from the cold winter, no fly days and want to experience a spectacular paragliding roadtrip to four of the most spectacular takeoffs in Kenya?

1. Mbooni Forest
The trip starts with an Airport Transfer from Nairobi International to a cozy hotel 2.5h south east of Nairobi to Mbooni Forest and stay 2 nights in a nice lodge with swimming pool and fly the spectacular cliff takeoff of Mbooni Forest, known for its XC potential.
On the third day of the trip we will pack our luggage into the Landcruiser and attempt a downwind flight from Mbooni Forest to our next accommodation: Ulu Forest
Ulu Forest
After an XC flight from Mbooni Forest to Ulu Forest you either hike to Ulu Private House or get picked up along the way - we will stay there for 2 nights.
Ulu is a hidden gem in a wildlife conservancy. Takeoff 300m height over landing. Easy evening soaring site, but also big XC potential during day. Fly over forest and trees, with sloped takeoff with magical scenery or connect to flatland XC.
3. Rift Valley
From there we will drive 3h north crossing over Nairobi, into the Rift Valley, where will stay in a little lodge for 3 nights and enjoy epic paragliding with a chance to walk with wild life on an excursion or hike up or fly over the Mt Longonot crator 5km away from takeoff.
4. Kerio Valley
We then proceed further north on our way across the equator to the Kerio Valley but stop at Nakuru National Park for a 3h Game Drive. We then proceed to the fabulous Kerio Valley, staying for another 5 nights to enjoy the magical thermodynamic ridge soaring at one of the longest cliffs in the world!
End of Trip
The trip ends with a 2h regional flight travel back to Nairobi International Airport, where you catch your International Flight home.

What to bring

Glider in fully serviceable condition and suitable for your flying level. We recommend the take-off weight should be in the upper third of the weight range, since we almost always fly in stronger wind conditions. A playful B glider is more suitable than a high-performance racing machine

Harness with a foam protector - light harnesses are not ideal.
