Paragliding Training

Rescue.co Insurance:

It is mandatory that each participant has at least a basic Annual Insurance with Rescue.co

Training Dates:

Training dates are a seen as a block of two days (usually Sat/Sunday)
If client cannot take part on both days of a block, another weekend is to be scheduled
A weather 'go no go' call will be made 2 days before the schedules training block
If No Go call the training block will be rescheduled
Please bring good mood, warm clothes, sunhat, light jacket and good mood!

Payment Terms:

A deposit of at least 50% of the invoiced training amount is to be paid at least 2 weeks before scheduled training block
Deposits are non-refundable but transferable
Balance payments are due at least one week prior to the start of training weekend

Force Majeure

Cloudbase Kenya shall not be held liable for any cancellation, delay, interruption, curtailment or alteration of a trip resulting from circumstances beyond its reasonable control (“Force Majeure”). Such circumstances may include, but are not limited to, civil unrest or disorder, war, terrorism, strikes, natural disasters, earthquakes, adverse or extreme weather conditions, epidemics, government restrictions, road or air transport disruptions, or other unforeseen events beyond the control of Cloudbase Kenya.
In the event of Force Majeure, payments already made to Cloudbase Kenya will not be refundable, and Cloudbase Kenya shall not be responsible for refunding or compensating guests for any unused, cancelled or disrupted portion of the trip, or for any additional expenses, losses or costs incurred as a result.
Guests are strongly advised to obtain comprehensive travel insurance covering trip cancellation, interruption and disruption due to unforeseen circumstances.

Paragliding Participation Agreement and Acknowledgement of Risk

I hereby declare that by choosing to participate in paragliding activities with Cloudbase Kenya, I fully understand and agree to the following:

Acknowledgement of Risk
I am fully aware that paragliding is an inherently dangerous activity and involves significant risks. I understand that no amount of caution, instruction, or professional guidance can entirely eliminate the risk of accidents, injury, or even death.
Voluntary Participation
My participation is entirely voluntary, and I accept full personal responsibility for any outcomes, including injury or loss of life, that may occur during the activity.
Liability Waiver
I understand and agree that Cloudbase Kenya bears no responsibility or liability for any personal injury, damage, or loss of life resulting from my participation in the above-mentioned activities.
Physical and Mental Fitness
I confirm that I am in good physical and mental health, and I acknowledge that such well-being is essential for safe participation in paragliding.
Sobriety Declaration
I confirm that I am not under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any medication that could impair my ability to participate safely.
Informed Consent
I acknowledge that Cloudbase Kenya has given me ample opportunity to read, understand, and ask questions about this declaration, and that it was made available to me in a timely manner.
Age Confirmation
I confirm that I am at least 18 years of age. If the participant is a minor, I declare that I am the parent or legal guardian and give full consent for their participation.

Additional Terms for Paragliding Trips:

Guidance and Flight Responsibility

Cloudbase Kenya provides general guidance and tour support only. If you are flying as a licensed pilot, you are fully responsible for your own decisions in the air and accept all risks associated with your flight.

Transportation and Travel Liability

All transportation is arranged through local service providers. Any risks, incidents, or accidents during travel are the responsibility of the local drivers and are covered by their insurance. Cloudbase Kenya does not accept liability for any transportation-related issues.

Equipment Condition

You confirm that your paraglider wing and reserve (safety parachute) have either been professionally inspected within the last two years or are less than five years old. This is to ensure the safety and airworthiness of your equipment.
